Berry Vines - Honeysuckle
Caprifoliaceae - Honeysuckle family
Coral Honeysuckle (Woodbine, Trumpet Honeysuckle) Lonicera sempervirens
Scarlet flower 1-2" long with orange interior and yellow anthers. Clusters
of flowers grow from two round, fused, leaf-like bracts. Vine is
woody. Leaves are paired. Berries are about 1/4" wide and go from green, yellow, orange to red.

Japanese Honeysuckle Lonicera japonica
Flowers white/pink to yellow, grow at leaf nodes from a pair of bracts that are much smaller
than the leaves. Semi-evergreen leaves, opposite. New growth leaves are
fuzzy. Vine can climb 80 feet, strangle saplings and overshadowing undergrowth. Fruit are shiny black berries.
In the vine photo the brown vines and leaves are the honeysuckle. They are twining up a large grape vine.
