Old-man's-beard (Texas Virgin's Bower, Goat's Beard) Clematis drummondii
Vine will cover trees and fence rows using tendrils. Secondary stems grow opposite and perpendicular to main stem. Flowers grow from the terminal side of the intersection. Some flowers do not have red. No thorns. This plant is considered a weed as it knocks down barbwire fences.
