Martyniaceae - Unicorn-plant family
Devil's-claw (Ram's Horn, Unicorn Plant) Proboscidea louisianica
Pinkish flower about 2" long. Largest leaves about 8" wide but can be 12" wide. Sprawling plant has sticky hairs. When the seed pods dry the long beak splits into two claws. Young pods can be eaten like okra. Aroma is very unpleasant.
