Daisy with Wide Petals
Asteraceae (Compositae) - Sunflower family
Blackfoot Daisy (Plains Black-foot) Melampodium leucanthum
Flower about 3/4" wide. Variable petal lobes on same plant or flower: usually
two but the notch can be rounded or sharp; sometimes three lobes with a very
small central lobe or three tiny equal lobes. Petal width depends on moisture. After
petals dry they often remain on plant. Outer phyllaries (base of
daisy) united more than half their length. Honey scented. Blooms early in
the Spring and keeps blooming with rain until frost. Leaves are
narrow without lobes, with pronounced central vein. Large colony
shown is about 8" tall and 2 feet wide. Plant 6"-20" tall.

Asteraceae (Compositae) - Sunflower family
? Common Name **zw 2**
Scientific Name
This is probably just a Blackfoot Daisy variation, but I haven't found reference
to the extra wide petals or deep sharp lobes.
Flower about 1" wide. Leaves narrow but wider than Blackfoot Daisy. Plant shown is about 6" tall.
