Description: convexi-concave, growth lines --- both valves covered with fine spine knobs. Hinge almost as wide as valve. This Genus looks similar to Juresania (now called Parajuresania) to differentiate USA specimens from those of Russia, per Leighton and Maples in Journal of Paleontology 2002). Differences are narrower bands and finer spines, narrower beak, no sulcus. |
