They feed on the flesh of seed (Chinaberry tree, Soapberry tree) and do no harm to the host plant. these bugs quickly become infestations. Most insecticides do not kill them. The best control is to remove fallen berries. Ducks work very well for this. Often confused with the Boxelder Bug.
